We are seeking an organised, proactive, and detail-oriented Creative Arts Resource Technician – Procurement & Logistics to support our vibrant Creative Arts department, including floristry, event styling, art & design, and event management courses.
This is a key operational role, ensuring that tutors and students have the materials and resources they need to deliver high-quality, industry-relevant learning experiences. You will work closely with teaching staff and the Head of Curriculum to manage procurement processes, coordinate supplies, and support departmental budgets.
The postholder will be responsible for coordinating procurement and supplier activities, including raising purchase orders, tracking orders through to delivery, liaising with a wide range of suppliers to source materials across creative disciplines, and processing invoices while maintaining accurate financial records. They will ensure value for money and the timely procurement of resources.
In addition, they will manage resource planning and logistics by supporting the coordination of tutor resource lists, placing orders accordingly, organising deliveries, storage, and distribution of materials, and ensuring resources are available in line with teaching schedules. The role also includes managing stock levels and maintaining a well-organised storage system to support the efficient running of the department.
They will provide budget and administrative support by assisting the Head of Curriculum in monitoring departmental budgets, tracking expenditure, and highlighting any variances or concerns, while maintaining accurate procurement records and reporting documentation.
We are looking for someone with experience in procurement, purchasing, or administrative coordination who is highly organised and demonstrates strong attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, and be confident managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. They should be comfortable using IT systems for ordering, tracking, and reporting. An interest in creative arts is desirable but not essential. This role also offers an excellent opportunity to develop procurement and operational expertise within a creative setting.
The actual salary for this role is £11,290 - £11,552, inclusive of London Weighting.
