An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Horticulturist with a passion for training and inspiring young people. As a Resource Technician, you will support teaching staff and students across all courses within the College’s specialist Horticulture programs as well as maintaining practical areas and gardens.
The ideal candidate will have a broad range of industry skills, including selecting and demonstrating tool and equipment use, maintenance and repair of horticultural machinery and equipment, sourcing plant identification samples and glasshouse production. The ideal candidate will have some experience of working within the training or education sector. A Level 2 qualification in Horticulture is essential, and a PA1/PA6 Certificate is desirable.
The successful candidate will be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team, demonstrating a proactive, well-organised and self-motivated approach. Strong administrative and digital skills are also required, including proficiency in Microsoft Office for retrieving and storing files, managing email inboxes, and booking and coordinating Outlook calendar events.
The actual salary for this role is £11,119.60 - £11,381.60 inclusive of London Weighting
