  • About The Role and Person

  • An exciting opportunity has arisen at Capel Manor College, and we are seeking to appoint an experienced and motivated Lecturer in Event Management & Creative Production to join our Enfield provision.

This role has a clear focus on delivering high-quality teaching in event planning, coordination, and delivery, while embedding essential business, entrepreneurial, and digital skills aligned to the development of our new Createch curriculum.

The event management course is designed to equip learners with practical, industry-relevant skills in event management and business planning. Key responsibilities include delivering high-quality teaching across courses focused on event management, planning, and business delivery, and creating engaging, practical lessons aligned to industry standards. The role involves leading and supporting live event projects as a core part of learning, while embedding key skills such as event coordination, project and time management, budgeting, stakeholder engagement, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. You will also integrate business and enterprise skills, enabling learners to plan, cost, and deliver event-based projects, while monitoring and assessing progress to support achievement and development.

We are looking for an individual with industry experience in event management, coordination, or production, and a strong understanding of planning, delivering, and evaluating events. The ideal candidate will recognise the importance of business, enterprise, and digital skills within the events sector and be passionate about teaching, mentoring, and developing learners. They will be able to engage and motivate students through practical, hands-on delivery, with excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Teaching experience is desirable; however, we welcome applications from industry professionals looking to transition into education.

The actual salary for this role is £14,405-£15,945 for Unqualified Lecturers and £16,823-£22,197 for Qualified Lecturers, inclusive of London Weighting.
