Capel Manor College offers historic and prestigious qualifications in saddlery and shoemaking with The Worshipful Company of Cordwainers’ Diploma in Saddle, Harness and Bridle Making, The Worshipful Company of Saddlers Certificates and the Access to HE Diploma in Shoemaking. Our saddlery and leatherwork courses teach skills that are taught through practical demonstrations and hands-on workshops, providing students with the skill set needed for working within the leather industries. Our students go on to work with a range of employers such as saddlers, luxury leather goods makers, the British Army and fashion designers.
We now have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join the team at Capel Manor College delivering saddlery and/or shoemaking courses.
The successful candidate will have a relevant qualification in saddlery and/or shoemaking and relevant industry experience, with a network of contacts that can support our learners. They will be experienced working in leathercraft and have the ability to demonstrate knowledge of the design process through to the finished product. The motivation to research, develop and implement new concepts and ideas in this specialist area is also desirable.
This is a casual position and the working hours will be variable including some weekends. Please indicate your availability in your application form.
