An exciting opportunity has arisen at Capel Manor College to join our Skills Bootcamps delivery team as a Lecturer in Horticulture. We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable individual to deliver high-quality teaching and learning in horticulture to adult learners on our Skills Bootcamps programmes, focusing on Level 1 and Level 2 delivery.
You will deliver and assess to the appropriate awarding body standards across a range of subjects related to horticulture, which may include Amenity Horticulture, Plant Science, Propagation, Soil Science, Machinery, Landscaping, and Plant Identification.
The postholder will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, monitoring and assessing learner progress, and ensuring that learners are fully supported to achieve and progress into sustained employment. You will work closely with practical instructors, technicians, and the Employability Team to ensure learners develop both technical and employability skills, in line with Skills Bootcamp contract requirements.
About You

You will hold a relevant qualification in Horticulture

You will have strong subject knowledge and practical expertise, with the ability to deliver engaging and inclusive teaching up to Level 2.

Teaching experience is desirable, but we also welcome applications from those with relevant industry experience who are keen to share their skills and knowledge with others.

You will have excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire adult learners.

A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one) is desirable.
