An exciting opportunity has arisen at Capel Manor College and we are now seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Agriculture to teach on our Agricultural subjects. These include a Level 2 course in Farming and a Level 3 course in Farm Management. The College has excellent facilities, including access to Forty Hall Farm, a mixed farm with a variety of animals, including many rare breeds, a community orchard, a market garden and farm shop, and London’s only organic commercial vineyard.
The Lecturer in Agriculture will be responsible for teaching and assessing Agricultural subjects, including machinery operations, crop establishment and production, plant and soil science and livestock management.
The post holder will provide high quality teaching on the College’s Agricultural courses and ensure the effective learning of students being taught. This will involve preparing and delivering stimulating lessons, setting goals that stretch and challenge all students, monitoring and assessing student progress, giving feedback and consistently demonstrating the positive attitudes, values and behaviours which are expected of students.
Applicants should possess a relevant qualification in agriculture or other associated subject. We welcome applications from experienced Lecturers and from those with relevant industry experience who are interested in passing on their skills to others. If you are an enthusiastic individual with the ability to inspire, motivate and challenge students and if you are able to impart knowledge and develop understanding that promotes a love of learning and develops intellectual curiosity, we want to hear from you.
