An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Events and Fundraising Manager to join the College. The role of the College’s Events and Fundraising Manager will help deliver the College’s strategic objectives in relation to commercial income from events, activities and fundraising.
The post holder will be responsible for overseeing the College's events schedule which includes events such as the Hertfordshire Heavy Horse and Country Show, a Classic and Vintage Car Show and events at Easter and Halloween. The post holder will also be responsible for growing income from garden tours, school visits, the College's retail outlets, venue hire, including weddings and filming.
They will also be responsible for supporting the College's fundraising efforts through growing Friends of Capel memberships, creating a vibrant and active alumni and supporting our Patron.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing events and working in income generation. They will have a creative and customer focused approach to delivering events and a meticulous eye for detail. They will have the ability to work calmly under pressure in an event situation, knowledge of charitable fundraising regulations and best practices including as charity law, ethical giving, fraud, money-laundering and corporate social responsibility, and be flexible with a willingness to work across the College's campuses and of an evening and at a weekend when required.
